open access

The college has introduced system of open access where the students are allowed to enter the stacks and choose the book for themselves. All the cupboards of the library book stacks are open to facilitate free access of the students. The college has a well developed library, having a balance collection of books on subjects of prescribed study, current topic, philosophy, research, and other topics. More than 10 thousand books are available in the library, and about 20 periodicals, in addition to journals, on various topics and 3 newspapers, are regularly subscribed to. The library has a reference section with Encyclopedia, books on general knowledge etc. In order to enrich the library, every year a number of valuable books on varied topics of study and interest are purchased on recommendation of teachers. The books are also purchased under UGC scheme.
